The 70 / 85 / 95 ladder, explained

Rule Guard turns prop-firm limits into a live escalation ladder — and quiet hours never hold the one alert that matters.

Prop-firm challenges are lost to slow bleed more often than to one bad trade. Three losses at half size, repeated politely for a week, will end a challenge just as dead as a single blown limit — and it is much harder to notice. Rule Guard converts the firm's rules into a live limit watcher and escalates along three rungs so the story of your day is visible long before a breach is anywhere near.

The rungs

70% of a limit is an early heads-up — a nudge to slow down or stop for the day. 85% is serious: every additional trade now moves you toward the cliff. 95% is hard-breach risk, the rung that justifies waking you at 3 AM. Every hit lands in the in-app breach log the moment it happens, with the rule, the level, and the numbers that triggered it.

Quiet hours, done honestly

Pro delivery adds email and Telegram on every hit. Quiet hours hold the 70 and 85 notifications overnight — and deliberately never hold the 95. The trade-off is explicit: advisory alerts can wait for morning; a hard-breach risk cannot. The ladder reduces breach risk; it never prevents a breach. Sizing and flatten decisions stay yours — the guard arms you with information, not automation you did not ask for.

Trailing drawdown, done right

Prop firms differ on how drawdown is measured — end-of-day trailing versus intraday trailing changes everything. The guard implements the firm's actual mechanism per preset, moves the high-water mark only where the firm moves it, and shows your buffer to the dollar in the live panel.

Delivery you can audit

Every alert attempt is recorded — sent or failed, retried once. Telegram is capped at ten alerts a day per user because spam bans are real. A 90-day alert history is the Pro view; the record starts at fire time, so upgrading carries history with it.
The beta badge is real. Rule Guard ships as beta because advisory tooling should earn trust, not demand it. The engine, the ladder and the breach log are free forever; delivery channels and history are the Pro surface.
