Benchmarks answer one question: where do my numbers sit among traders like me? Buckets are computed nightly by account-size band, venue and style, and a bucket only exists when at least ten traders contribute — smaller samples stay invisible because they would be noise wearing a statistic's clothes.
What leaves your account
Three derived numbers per account: profit factor, win rate and expectancy R. Never trades, never symbols, never balances, never identities. The aggregation is hashed and dated — the view always shows last night's cohort.
Consent
Contribution is opt-out from the account center. Opting out removes you from every future aggregation — your own percentile card keeps working, because seeing your own rank is not a contribution.
Reading the distributions
Each bar is where the cohort's middle sits: the pale band is the p10–p90 spread, the gold tick the median, and the dot is you — with an in-band / above-p90 / below-p10 label so the comparison needs no interpretation.
Where you see it
The free percentile card lives in Analytics; the full distributions — filters by venue, account size and style — live in Deep Analysis → Benchmarks (Pro).
Aggregates are rebuilt nightly and hash-stamped; the comparison is always against last night's cohort, never a live peek at anyone else.
